Brazilian born, global made, American defined.

Driving business transformation by using digital, data and emerging technology — and developing the people who build it.

Eric Gallardo is a digital technology leader with 25+ years of experience in commercial tech and innovation across customers around the globe. Today, based in Cary, North Carolina, he focuses on digital strategy and operations, martech, and AI-driven business transformation.

In 2021, his U.S. Green Card was granted based on national recognition for his contributions to digital innovation. Outside of work he is a columnist, an active birder and nature photographer, a music lover, and father of two.

His passion for birding led to an unexpected insight: the skills that make a great birder — patient observation, pattern recognition, tolerance for ambiguity, and the discipline to act on incomplete information — are the same skills that drive great problem-solving. That realization became Birding Thinking, a framework Eric idealized and published as a book, translating field skills from the forest into tools for business and innovation.

Birding & nature photography.

Beyond technology, I'm a passionate birder and wildlife photographer. I've traveled across 9 countries chasing rare species, photographed 400+ species of birds in the wild, and contributed images to dozens of scientific papers documenting Brazilian avifauna.

It's my way of slowing down — patience, observation and stillness, all sharpened by years in the field.
